I am a product manager, teacher, mentor, gay cis man, immigrant, expat, American, Israeli, Romanian, dog-dad, and world traveler. I spent the past 16 years (!) at Microsoft – such a great company to work for! – starting with driving business operations teams in support of Microsoft’s advertising business, moving to product management in 2011 and driving app monetization and developer scenarios, and returning to people management in 2015, embarking on driving hardware ecosystem and enterprise scenarios for Windows and Windows Update for Business.
When I am not a Microsoftie, I teach CS AP and Intro to high schoolers in Seattle as a volunteer with the non-profit TEALS that aims to proliferate CS in high schools to encourage students to choose CS in college, especially girls and BIPOC kiddos. And in 2022 I joined UW Continuum College as a Python instructor.

It was great chatting with Nir about the PM role at Microsoft and larger companies. He shared feedback about making decisions as a PM and how to think about developing solutions that address user needs. He also shared insights on progressing in my career as a PM.
Was conscious of making good use of my time and provided fantastic career advice
It was a pleasure speaking with Nir. He is an expert in the space with years of experience as a PM and is very friendly. He helped keep me motivated and guided me in my recruitment process. I would highly recommend booking a time to speak with him!
In one call, we were able to delve into all the key challenges that I face. He gave very valuable advice that I have been using since day one and already seeing progress.
My conversation with Nir was not only informative, but also thought-provoking, inspiring, and easy to follow. While I only spent half an hour talking with Nir, I truly felt that I better understood the fundamental value of product managers and how product development works both on a high-level and person-level in big tech. Thank you for giving me the chance to learn from your experience!
